3 months old already

I can't believe Rosie is 3 months old already and is almost 4 months old. She is doing great and we can't complain at all. She sleeps through the night in her crib without any problems. Developmentally, she is standing with holding on to me or Matt. She is almost sitting up by herself and she loves to jump in her jumperoo. She babbles all the time and loves to blow bubbles. She just started taking a bottle, which helps me be able to go back to work, which will still only be one day a week. She is in her 3-6 months clothes and weighs 15 lbs and is 25 inches long. She is a very happy baby and loves to smile and laugh. Here are a couple of pictures.

3 weeks old

Rosalinn is 3 weeks old today! I can't believe she is growing up so fast. She lost her umbilical cord 2 nights ago and so tonight is our first bath night. Very exciting! Here are some pictures.

Vikings Game

Here is a great picture from Sunday of Matt, Rosie, and I all dressed up for football Sunday!!

Baby is here!!

Rosalinn Jane Pierson was born on September 10, 2009 at 3:09am. She weighed 7 lbs. 3 oz. and was 20 inches long. She is just the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. It all started when my water broke at 2:25pm on 9/9/09. We went to the hospital and they confirmed it. I labored on my own for a while, but wasn't progressing, so they started pitocin. I still did not progress well and contractions became quite intense. After 6 hours of natural labor, I opted for an epidural. It still took quite a bit more pitocin for me to progress, but once I began it went fast. I went from 5cm to 9cm in about a half an hour. I stayed there for about an hour before being able to push. 45 mins later, Rosalinn was born. She was perfect from the beginning. I had some complications after birth. My contractions immediately stopped after she was born and I started bleeding pretty bad. I lost about a liter of blood, but they were able to get things stopped before any major issues arose. About an hour after birth, I was able to hold my little girl. So precious!! We are home now and she is doing great. She is breastfeeding well and loves to open those eyes and look around at the world. She takes everything in. Here are some pictures.

September 8, 2009

Went to my doctor's appointment today and I am 5cm dilated, 80% effaced, and at a -2 station. Whatever all that means, right? The doctor said that I should be going into labor soon because of how dilated I am. I have been having contractions all day that started out at every 10 mins, went to every 8 mins, and are now between 5-7 mins apart. They are not very strong yet, so I am holding steady at home until they get stronger or more regular. If they continue through the night, I will go to the hospital in the morning to get checked. I will keep you updated.
